Have you ever gave out paper poppies for Veteran's Day or Memorial Day? It was once a tradition in my little hometown. Stratigically, I would stand at the only stoplight in town. As the red light held up traffic, I would approach cars and ask for a donation. Whether the driver made a donation or not, I always gave them one of those simple paper poppies as a remembrance for those who gave all.
