I saw this charming green-cheeked conure at my local petco. He is billed as hand-fed. Does that make him tame and friendly? I would think. I might want to have him, except that his longevity would mean I’d have to put him in my will, plus the cost of $899.99 is a wee pricey. He makes a great subject for a painting, though. I love his muted reddish tail next to his muted green feathers, his silly feet, and expressive eye. This painting is 6x8” oil on re-purposed gessobord (I started another bird painting on it long ago, but abandoned it for a paint-over). I saw this charming green-cheeked conure at my local petco.
