The Back Forty. 8x8 acrylic on linen canvas panel. I painted the under-painting en plain air a few months ago with the assistance of Woofie. Want to make a few more marks with the knife and let it dry. Then will try some finishing varnish. I have a few new knives arriving tomorrow. All these that are WIP will be listed for sale soon... when I put the finishing touches on them. Here is what I wrote when I posted the underpainting a few months ago, This is one of many trails originally cut by hardwood timber harvesting in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Many are overgrown and some are maintained by hunters. This particular one is at the back of my place and networks with miles and miles of others that run on the top of the still-wooded ridges.
