Size: 9x12 in
“Gentle Ocean Sea Stacks” 9x12 oil Plein air. Painted on location at Rialto Beach on the northern Washington Coast. The ocean was pretty calm and there was no wind. To catch this view, I literally just turned the easel facing around opposite of the view from earlier in the morning. The day had become much lighter, and some of the clouds had lifted, so the lighting in this picture is altogether different. Although the ocean looks calm and peaceful, it is evident from the way the sea stacks are carved out from the land the raw power that the ocean has. Painting comes ready to frame, frame not included. This painting was just created this past weekend, so the paint is still fresh wet oil paint. It will need about 4 weeks or so curing time before I can mail it out, due to the nature of oil paint.
