I love the stillness and quiet of the wildlife refuges. This one is at Billy Frank Jr Wildlife Refuge, painted on location under the big trees at the famous barns. The only sound to be heard was the repeating chorus of frogs and occasional birds singing. This was painted in March in plein air.
