"Pure joy of the sea" 8x10 oil plein air painting. Such beautiful weather this past week on whidbey island, especially in the western shoreline. lots of families out enjoying the water. I did this one from the shady tree area of fort ebey state park, sketching the figures in at various poses until I saw one that I looked good for the composition. One little kid repeatedly would bend over and find things in the water and would scream with delight. The water later in the day had a beautiful translucent color at the crest of the waves.Comes framed in a black frame and wired for hanging. "Pure joy of the sea" 8x10 oil plein air painting.
