These zebras are lazing around in a bed of nasturtiums surrounded by a somewhat dark, gothic background. It was the first time I've tried painting zebras, and it took quite a while just to get the stripes right. I did find out quite a bit about zebras while painting. One thing that surprised me is that they can take down a lion with one kick. Very strong animals. I don't have a frame for the painting yet, but plan to get one soon.
