This painting was influenced by the New Mexico landscapes I see when I go for visits there. During the brightest parts of the day everything seems brownish and sage colored, but sunrises and sunsets can be glorious and full of color, and those colors are often reflected in the landscape. And, then, roads do go on forever, and the curves in the roads are actually few and far between, at least in eastern New Mexico, close to the west Texas border. A nod to Robert Earl Keen for the title. This painting was influenced by the New Mexico landscapes I see when I go for visits there.
