2-4-24 Geraniums Day 4 of Amanda Evanston's February Floral Challenge. Geraniums are a summer favorite here in northern lower peninsula Michigan. This is also a study in complimentary color composition, something I use a lot in my work. :) I like to do these small warm-up paintings before a painting session. The title is the date it is finished. They loosen me up and get me ready to dive into my day in the studio. This original 5.5x5.5 is painted with acrylic on heavy watercolor paper. It’s matted and backed to fit in a standard 10x8 frame. I slip it into a clear protective sleeve and shipping is free in the US.
