This sailboat on the Missouri looked very small when compared to the large and impressive sunset behind it! I did this painting in thick oil paint on a 7x5 masonite board. I like using thick oil paint as it gives paintings a luscious texture that can’t be replicated in a print. This could easily be framed by placing it in a standard photo frame with the glass removed.
