I found the inspiration for this painting at the Shakespearean Garden in Wessington Springs, SD. I did this painting on a 6x8 canvas board. I like using thick oil paint as it gives paintings a luscious texture that can’t be replicated in a print. This could easily be framed by placing it in a standard photo frame with the glass removed.
