Carpathian village is a watercolor painting that beautifully captures the essence of a mountain village nestled in the Carpathians. In the summer of 2018, my friend and I went to the Carpathians mountains, namely to the town of Yaremche. There we settled in the village of Yamna and went out to paint every day. This is one of the local houses I painted in the morning when the dew was on the grass, a little fog everywhere and clouds rising over the mountains.

My painting watercolor on cotton paper, using mainly palette brush and watercolor paints.  Watercolors give this work a special lightness and airiness. I like paint with watercolors using the ala prima technique, using the effects of splatter, transparency and color saturation.

I like to paint more crowded places where meetings or some walks usually take place. More often than not, these are cozy cafes in the atmosphere of the city's urban streets. Of course, I take most of the beautiful places from my travels, because they open my eyes to the beauty of the world, new places, the color of the city, architecture, old buildings and much more.
