I woke up early this morning as my husband was leaving for a work trip. The sky was in its usual predawn beauty, and I stood on my back deck and absorbed all I could because the sky changes so quickly in these early morning hours. I painted in my general values and then painted from memory for the last hour. The idea that God's mercies are new every morning kept resurfacing as I worked.
