Last month the Suffolk Plein Air Society met at a historic home called the Truitt House. The weather was rainy and cold so the new owners graciously welcomed us inside to paint. I cannot even tell you how lovely this home is. Each room is so unique with such character like these old grand houses can have. It was torture deciding on a spot, but I landed on this entryway from the dining room to the kitchen. The painting that hangs there really caught my attention and I wanted to incorporate it.
