These characters are designed around scribble/swirl drawings. I swirl my pencil randomly with wide sweeping gestures and then find my character and pull him out of the lines. In other words, I use the light swirl marks to form the skeleton of my character's form and line - using my imagination and artist's eye. It just occurred to me that I could make some of these into watercolor ACEOs. I never know what kind of interesting shapes and expressions I will find in the web of lines. These whimsical characters are truly unique in concept and execution. This guy is feeling some good vibrations and he is going with the flow.Your painting will be inserted into a plastic sleeve and packed carefully in a standard no. 10 business envelope. It is also signed on the front and the back.Sometimes I use gouache (opaque watercolor) and/or colored pencils and pastel pencils in a limited way to enhance the painting.
