This is a close-up look at my father-in-law's pole beans. I was visually intrigued by the intricate shininess of each leaf and treated them like portraits within a portrait. The darkness in the depths behind the leaves has a mysterious quality to me and I tried to hint at that feeling also. This is a half-sheet watercolor which is 14.125 x 21.5 inches. With a mat and frame it will be suitable for an over-the-couch sized painting. The painting is sold unframed - framed photo is for visualization purposes only.
