'David' is portrait 9/100 in my 100 heads challenge. I've found that I enjoy painting men with glasses and beards, especially beards that are not all one color. The most challenging part of this particular painting was the hat -- specifically trying to give the feel that it is an open weave straw hat without painting every single hole!
