I snapped the reference photo for this painting when I was taking my dog for a midday walk. I was struck by how strong the shadow was and how much the grass was illuminated by the strong light at noon. I also like how the light and shadow affected the color on my black and white shoes. This is the third painting in my 'Light and Shadow' series. This piece will be part of The Fox Point Artists group show at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Bayside, WI June 1st - August 30, 2025.
