Media: Mixed Acrylic and Pastel on Paper
Size: 10x14 in
This heavily textured, mixed media piece was created for the 2016 Art of the Avocado contest, held annually in Fallbrook, California. I used a palette knife for the initial painting, then added highlights and details with the pastels.
I painted from a photo I took several years ago at a relative's grove-- there always seem to be a few fruits lingering on the trees, even after the picking time has passed! Piece will be shipped with Glassine paper cover to protect artwork until you are ready to frame.
