A plein air view of the house where we are staying near Citta di Castello in Umbria, painted in 37 degree heat. The landscape is so beautiful here. The towns are full of gorgeous architecture and art. Yesterday I saw Piero Della Francescas, today a Raphael. Everywhere I look are picturesque towns perched on top of wooded mountains. The light is intense and the colours all saturated. It will be hard to go back to painting grey English skies.
