This weekend gave us some decent sunshine so I thought I would get my pochade box out on a visit to the medieval Manor House at Ightam Mote. This is the result. It was really busy but I found a quiet ish spot sitting on the wall surrounding the moat. Ightam Mote is described as "the most complete small medieval manor house in the county". In the 19th century it became a centre for the artists and writers of the aesthetic movement such as John Singer Sargent.
