I wanted to try and capture the rhythm and colour of this jazz band, who appeared at the Tram Depot in Cambridge a while back. Even though the venue is small, the lighting is incredible. I had to push myself to the limits to achieve the chroma needed to capture the coloured lighting, including purchasing a tube of brilliant pink, permanent green light and cobalt turquoise light as trying to lighten rose or phthalo turquoise wasn't working. This band was incredibly talented. I believe some of the members work for the university so not only are they incredible musicians they are probably also academically gifted too.
