Continuing my love of a winter sunlit cityscape, this time a view of Trinity Street, Cambridge towards Great St Mary's church and Kings Parade. I really want to explore colourful shadows, cool/warm saturated colour and to attain as much luminosity as possible. I really enjoyed giving some flat brushes a run too. My son bought me a tube of purple madder which I used for the coloured ground. I think it has given this painting a nice warmth in spite of the depiction of snow on the roof of the shops / gallery.
