I love the retro, swooping lines and organic, tree-like structure of this curving trellis. It protects a tender colony of colorful plants with its sheltering embrace. Painted during my Fall 2024 artist residency at the beautiful Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek, California. Acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord panel, 12" x 16" in a maple floater frame. This painting will be part of "The Wonders of Plein Air" exhibit, May 3 - June 25, 2025 at the aRt Cottage in Concord, California.
