I love the magnificent dome-shaped palms that dot the terrain along the Martinez shoreline. Instead of growing taller they seem to grow fuller and rounder, hunkering down against the wind. It was a joy painting with friends along this peaceful marshland trail on a sparkling summer day. Acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord Panel, 12" x 9" in a maple floater frame. This painting will be part of "The Wonders of Plein Air" exhibit, May 3 - June 25, 2025 at the aRt Cottage in Concord, California.
