I took the reference photo for this artichoke in a local community garden. Near this plant was another in bloom, a new sight to me. It looked just like a giant thistle flower. "Artichoke" is watercolor on paper, mounted on cradled wood panel (6 x 6 x .75 inches). It has been coated with a UV protectant varnish and archival wax so needs no glass protection. It is also fitted with hanging hardware and is ready to display on a shelf or wall. It will be carefully packaged and sent with tracking.
