Painting a partial cucumber and some slices turned out to be surprisingly challenging! Backgrounds are my nemesis. Faux wood to the rescue! Thanks to Dennis Pfeil, whose photograph on the weekly Instagram Food Paint Challenge inspired this painting. “Cucumber” is painted with acrylic paint on canvas panel and is protected with a satin varnish.
