I grew up on a farm where gathering eggs was always someone’s chore. Chipped enamel bowls were also a familiar part of farm life. So this is a painting from my heart. The piece is made up of two—the bowl of eggs painted on a round panel, mounted onto a 10 x 10 inch cradled wood panel, painted the colour of old barn wood.
