This painting is the outcome of a new technique I learned in a local class. Cover the white flower with masking fluid. Apply rich background colours in layers, allowing the paint to dry between applications. Remove the masking fluid and paint form and details on the white flower. Finally, lift background in sections to suggest additional foliage and blooms.
