I enjoyed painting this cute face the other day. I hope that the impasto brushstrokes give the portrait a lively, tactile presence. The main point of attraction for me is always the eyes, and this little guy had such an open and intent gaze that it begged to be painted! I enjoyed painting this cute face the other day.
