When I was a kid, I was fascinated with animals and insects. I used to collect all kinds of bugs, from larva through adult stages. Dragonflies and butterflies were my favorites, so, it seems natural for me to combine these winged beauties with different kinds of animals. The 'Lion Dragon Fly' came about because I've always thought of dragonflies as being the lions of the insect world. Instead of being the king of beasts, they're the king of the pond.
