When I was a young girl, my favorite memories were of exploring my grandparents farm. I'd spend hours at their creek 'fishing' for crawdads, tadpoles, minnows, dragonfly nymphs and snails. The snails were ordinary pond snails, muddy brown and plain. As an artist, I envision my snails as colorful, whimsical creatures. Imagination can be a wonderful thing!
