Eleven years is a long time to work on a painting. The seahorse was going to be white in color, but then my daughter bought a buckskin gelding named Ryder and thought that would be the perfect color for "Poseidon's Carousel Horse." It took me awhile to get the buckskin color just right. I'm quite pleased with the result. :) Eleven years is a long time to work on a painting.
