Parowan Gap Dinosaur Footprints Trail is an easy short walk. There are markers showing where the fossil footprints are - and good thing too, since it's hard to decipher the tracks at first. The rock walls here are dramatic and colorful yet I wanted to play with the painting by putting a dinosaur in the image. The tracks here were made by Hadrosuars, so I researched what they are proposed to look like and attempted to get the correct scale by using the trail sign as I see it in my photograph of this view. Parowan is the County Seat of Iron County, Utah. It is also one of the gateways to Cedar Breaks National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Brian Head resort, Parowan Gap Native American Petroglyphs Historical site, Dinosaur Tracks Trail, Yankee Meadow Road, and other scenic areas.
