Media: Watercolor on Strathmore 400 Series Cold Press 140 lb paper
Size: 5x3 in
One in a series of still life paintings featuring little bird sculptures with floral arrangements. These are all miniatures. I love to draw and enjoy the combination of drawing and pen work with watercolor painting. I have some vases with an Asian design, and this is one of them. The leaves and flowers are fake, which gives me an infinite amount of time to try different arrangements and media ;-)) My intention for this series of small art is that they be cheerful, playful, and fun to look at. Watch the Video: In the last few minutes of the video I present an analysis of my composition design using hidden shape overlay. I hope to be helpful for the art student interested in my ideas.
