»Tor« in German means »gate« and »goal« at once!
Here, the goal (gate) of yesterday in close-up. So the Germans might want to add »Goal! Goal! Goal! for Germany!.«, whereas »Gate! Gate! Gate!« sounds a bit stupid indeed. Though I am no soccer fan, of course I kept my fingers crossed until the final victory of the German national soccer team. Nice game and nice painting.
