Today, an image with an almost philosophical claim.
A few years ago I read the interesting book »The Art Instinct« by Denis Dutton. Herein, the author tries to evolve a scientific analysis of whether there is an innate instinct for art. Among many gathered facts, what has surprised me the most is that a 44-percent-blue-landscape with kind of an African style with some mountains and some water is perceived as »beautiful« by the majority of mankind (whether Icelanders, Eskimos, Germans or Kenyans!) What is beautiful? What is art?
