In the third phase I used transparent acrylic layers of paint to create a structure and a color composition. Everything visible has been created without white except for the spots in the blue parts of the sky and in the ground reflections. This state of completion is (in retrospect) the most subjectively pleasing version. Much of what I painted afterwards would not necessarily have been needed. But in the end, of course, you are always wiser ... The goal should always be that you can declare the painting in almost every stage as "finished". The desired status of the final elaboration always varies according to "desire", "time" and "demand". Especially the latter, i.e. a too strong demand on oneself or on one's own expectations can get in one's way. According to my own "80% rule", I usually try to finish my paintings at that stage. This leaves the viewer enough room to complete the "unpainted". And I myself thereby rarely miss the point to stop in time. In der dritten Phase habe ich mit transparenten Acrylfarben lasierend Schicht auf Schicht gesetzt und den Bild eine Struktur und eine Farbkomposition gegeben. Alles Sichtbare ist ohne Weiß entstanden mit Ausnahme der Stellen in den Blauanteilen des Himmels und in den Bodenreflektionen. Dieser Stand der Fertigstellung ist (im Nachhinein) die subjektiv ansprechendste Version. Vieles was ich danach noch malte, hätte man nicht unbedingt gebraucht. Aber am Ende ist man natürlich immer klüger ... Das Ziel beim Malen sollte immer sein. dass man das Bild in fast jedem Stadium als "fertig" deklarieren kann. Der gewünschte Status der finalen Ausarbeitung variiert dabei stets nach "Lust", "Zeit" und "Anspruch". Besonders Letzteres , also ein zu starker Anspruch an sich selbst bzw. an die eigenen Erwartungen kann einem da schon mal in die Quere kommen. In der Regel versuche ich meine Bilder nach meiner eigenen »80% Regel« zu beenden. Dann bleibt dem Betrachter noch genug Spielraum das "Nichtgemalte" zu ergänzen. Und ich selber verpasse dadurch seltener den Punkt, rechtzeitig aufzuhören.
