This is the view from the bridge over the Midland Canal. At first I've painted this as a watercolor backlight study in the opposing blazing sun. But the result was poor and it didn't present what I was longing for.
To compensate, I have probably gotten a little sunburn ;) Yesterday I've overpainted the watercolor with acrylics in the studio. And here is the desired backlight effect which makes the picture threedimensional.
