I spent the day at Lake Ontario and this is the view of the boats from a park bench. I like to spend the day painting at the lake, especially when the weather is good. I painted these boats on site using oils and a set of small paint brushes. I've previously painted small paintings before, but I after reading Remington Robinson's book about miniature plein air painting, I thought that I'd give it a try. It's a lot of fun. The small tin makes it easy to transport the supplies and the wet painting when it's finished. Plus I don't need an easel or a lot of gear. This painting comes with the metal tin. The painting is held in place by thin strips of velcro so that it can be removed from the tin.
