I stumbled upon this building when I was on my photo expedition of Lockport this past summer. It was towards the end of the day and I was exhausted from spending the day painting and taking pictures. The building is the old City Hall, it currently houses a winery and a restaurant. The old stonework attracted my attention, and I used the granulating effects of watercolor to capture the coarse and textured surface of the walls.
