Fall is a great time for apples. I picked this Empire apple up at the supermarket and I created a still of it, along with an autumn leaf from my neighborhood. I added the Turquoise background to make the red apple stand out. The colors of this apple caught my attention. There are some very dark reds, and it transitions into a light highlight color. I used a lot of glazing to create the textures in the skin of the apple.
