Media: Acrylic on paper. Acrylic paper is archival paper, similar to a heavy watercolor paper. It has a sizing on it so that the water in the paint doesn't cause the paper to buckle.
Size: 8x10 in
I had fun painting this one because I exaggerated the colors and used more expressive brushstrokes. I started this painting with a coat of red and then painted over the background with blues-purple brushstrokes. The contrast between the warm red and cool blues liven up what could potentially be a boring background. The glass of water was also a nice challenge. I tried to keep it simple. The most interesting part of the glass is the bright highlights on the bottom and the sides.
