Painted for DPW "Party Dress" challenge. I originally began this painting in acrylics a couple years ago. Never finished it until now, repainted it in oils.. I wanted to style this painting after John Singer Sargent's paintings of women, but a little more modern, by giving her a Vera Wang evening gown, and long hair worn down on her shoulders. My nod to Sargent's era is the long lace scarf.
