After Christmas we save thin ribbons, string, etc. to put out in spring for the birds to use in building their nests.We hang them out by the bird feeders. When winter comes, and the trees are bare and the limbs are frosted with snow, they reveal the abandoned nests, woven with brightly colored ribbons
woven among the grasses and straw.
