Coneflowers always remind me of little umbrellas. So when I saw a spent blossom being lifted by a breeze, I imagined that if it was a coneflower it might just rise up and away. This thought gave rise to this whimsical painting. It also gave me the opportunity to change from my usual painting style and follow the muse along a new path.
