Plein Air painting of a brilliant sunset in the Mt. Hood National Forest where I camped this summer. There was a wildfire some distance from the campground, and the wind blew the smoke for miles. The smokey air caused the sunset to cast a golden glow through the trees.
This glow had the strange effect of hiding many of the trees in this dense forest. A truly magical scene.
