Photographer and artist, Carolyn Anctil graciously gave me permission to paint my interpretation of her spectacular photo entitled "Citrus". I initially was intrigued by the wonderful way the light shone through the fruit slice. But soon I realized I couldn't do the 'light' justice in paints, but as I studied it more, I decided to paint my work more abstracted, emphasizing the many "dots" of color I perceived from the rind to the blueish shadow spots. You can see her photo on her blog, by clicking on her name above.
