Painted this from a couple of reference photos, that I took this summer while traveling through Oregon's north central canyons. This depicts a ranch on the John Day river, that has become a state park called appropriately, Canyonland St. Park. It still has many of the old ranch buildings, including this old red barn. It is a beautiful place to visit and paint.
