Painted for DPW's Escape the Snow challenge. Let me explain this painting and how it fits the challenge theme. First of all, I like snow and don't find I need to escape it. Second, when I can't paint plein air (outdoors) I paint still lifes indoors. Third, painting itself is my way of getting away from it all. I find myself caught up in what I am doing and that in itself is a form of escape, so to speak. So my 'escape' was to do this painting.
